The building’s image is defined by its balconies: white trays with rounded corners stacked floor by floor and wrapping around the corners. Between them, timber-look cladding adds warmth and breaks down the scale of the block.
The building has been designed to Passivhaus criteria: a continuous, highly insulated envelope, high-performance windows and heat-recovery ventilation. The result is homes with a stable temperature all year round and minimal energy demand.
Heating, cooling and hot water come from air-source heat pumps, and the roof carries photovoltaic panels. The building services are designed and installed with the same care as the architecture, because daily comfort depends on them.
The communal courtyard, with its pool, opens up beneath the cantilevered balconies: a meeting place for residents that completes the life of the building.
